      If I were a teacher I would use the Excel tool for multiple purposes. Excel could be used to layout class assignment due dates, calculate student grades for tests/assignments, take attendance and much more. For example, if I were teaching 2nd grade English I would use excel to make a spreadsheet to lay out the grammar, writing, and other assignments that students would be responsible for knowing the details of. Continually, I would use it to calculate the grades of in-class assignments compared to writing assignments and other activities. 

     The topics that I found most interesting from reviewing my classmates' blogs was being able to see their perspectives on the different aspects of educational technology. It was very interesting to gain knowledge of my classmates' opinions and ideas for how educational technology can expand in the future, different educational technology platforms, as well as different techniques to use in the classroom with educational technology. I think that the blogs were helpful to spread the communication and knowledge of a variety of ideas from classmates that the class might not have been exposed to otherwise. 
    One technology-related skill that I would like to learn next would be how to improve my skills in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, and the other creative cloud platforms. I have already started using Adobe InDesign and Premiere, but I want to expand my knowledge in addition to becoming more comfortable with the format. I will achieve this goal by continuing to practice an use these platforms in various ways over time in my future career or for leisure.

As a student, and especially as an English major I have had to use Microsoft Word on numerous occasions. I  use MS Word for every paper that I  have to write, notes I have had to take, and for every other written text that was best formatted online. I  have seen my teachers use MS Word for typing notes for class and presenting them to the class as well as creating rubrics and other related links/documents to post on the course site. I  have had a good amount of exposure to copyright and fair use materials. Last semester I  took a class called Rhetorical Theory and Practice in which we were required to create a text that was completely original and then prove why it was not copyright and make a fair use argument for it. I have never used Twitter until the start of my academic career at Florida State. I have been using Twitter for some of my other classes in addition to using it in this EME class. From using Twitter I have learned how to be informed and stay up to date on current events academically and around the world. I think that Twitter is useful in this sense because it allows individuals such as myself to communicate and share ideas and also learn more from other individuals who are sharing information as well. There is a multitude of benefits that come from using a social media platform like Twitter. One of these benefits includes being able to stay connected and informed in so many different locations.
