The "flipped classroom" is a different approach to teaching. Specifically, this strategy uses at-home time and homework activities for children to learn and grow and then uses in-class time for students to practice etc. This type of model allows students to utilize their time to learn more on their own time and then apply those concepts in the classroom. The "flipped classroom" model gives students a chance to not only learn on their own, but to gain additional knowledge through their own applications.
Open Educational Resources (OER), is defined as openly licensed texts, media, and other technologies that are helpful for teaching. OER is useful for research and other helpful tools that increase the education of students who use it. It is said that these types of resources can promote the development and enhance the desire of the student to want to learn.
This resource describes OER and is a collection of all "EDUCAUSE" resources related to open educational resources in higher education.
From the PowerPoint assignments, I have learned a lot about this platform. Specifically, I learned a lot about the different additions that certain parts of PowerPoint can give you. For example, the animations and links that you can add to the slides/pictures to make them more interactive. I liked that the PowerPoint assignment was teaching me things that I had never learned before; however, I did not like that there were not more specific requirements for what was supposed to make the assignment interactive. I think for next time I could have taken my time and tried to put more effort into the interaction of the assignment (specifically the interactive buttons etc.)
