My initial experience using Diigo was unfamiliarity. I had never used this platform before. One characteristic that I did not like was the layout and orientation of the website; it was not very user-friendly. There were many areas and links to click on that had no emphasis or way to differentiate what categories they were in etc. It would be easier for users to use the platform if there were distinct ways to see links, different users, and overall a better layout for the platform to see all of its tools.

I have used a lot of other online and writing platforms before beginning this class; however, I had never attempted blogging. My experience with blogging has been relatively beneficial. I think that blogging is a great way to articulate what I am learning and what I  want to learn more of. During the blogging process I  have learned how to document and express the things that I have learned in a  way that others can understand and learn from as well. I have learned while blogging that it is important to keep track of different materials, tools, and experiences that you gain while learning because they see sometimes easy to forget.

One interesting Web 2.0 tool that I  would use while teaching would be Canva. Canva is a great media tool to create worksheets, graphics, and other learning tools in an interesting and fun way. Canva is also very user-friendly; the platform allows users to easily see what formats, colors, and design elements are available to them.

Canva is a design tool that allows the user to create everything from flyers to brochures to worksheets. When I    first used Canva, it took a little bit of practice to get adjusted to the tools that were at hand; however, once I  gained more experience, I was able to easily understand how to use each tool. Additionally, this tool has shown me how easy it is to make graphics and other images to layer with other tools. Although not many people know about Canva (I did not know about it until I    was assigned a project that needed to use the platform), it is a great way to make creative educational, informational, and aesthetically pleasing graphics. I  would recommend this tool for many purposes to any individual interested in making graphics, flyers, posters, etc.
